Enterprise_awards_Tullamore___Personalize_Me_team.jpgThey follow last years winners of a Judges Merit Award by Loreto College Crumlin for their "Moving to Crumlin" business and show that the spirit of enterprise is alive and well and showing itself in young people in Dublin.

The benefits of the Student Enterprise Awards are very much in demand in these challening timese when it is necessary for everybody to realise that they must make the most of any chances they are given to creat and maintain employment in their areas.

The support offered and skills learnt in the Student Enterprise Awards scheme are those that are in demand in many businesses at the moment and were are proud of our support of such a worthy programme in schools throughout Dublin

In addition to the above school programme we are offering free access to a virtual business game which can be used in the classroom to restate concepts learnt in the classroom and indeed the game carries may useful teaching resources that restate concepts that are on the school curriculum.  The game can be played over a choice of 12 or 52 virtual weeks so that the game can fit into classtimes without distracting students beyond the lesson in question.  Students can play the game at any time and any place once they have been registered by their teacher and given a password and this is a great way of getting learning happening outside the classroom.

The Programme includes the Student Enterprise Awards for Dublin City where students in second level schools throughout the city as well as individual students and Youthreach students can enter into an awards system which feeds into a national competition.  All 35 City and County Enterprise Boards in Ireland partake in the National Final held in Tullamore where students get to represent thier county and network with second level students from all over the country.

Dublin City Enterprise Boards Student Enterprise Awards took place in a snow covered Croke Park on  Thursday 5th February 2009 and the winners of the event hoped to replicate the great work of Loreto College Crumlin who won a Judge's Merit prize at the National Final of the Student Enterprise Awards in Tullamore last year for their excellent business "Moving to Crumlin.ie", having won the Dublin City Final in Croke Park in March 2008
