This can be done through your teacher and if you can also view our online discussions with entrepreneurs on this website and they may be able to inspire you to some creative thinking.  You will never know if you can do something until you try.  Get into thinking mode now and see what happens.

Have fun challenging your own abilities!

STEP 2
Once you have registered your interest by 30th October 2009, start to make or develop your business - only you can make it happen and you can have great fun in the process.  Dedide on pricing, product, promotion and place!  We can assist with our Marketing Workshop which looks at all the options available within classtime and is free - you can download an application from this website.

Have fun learning new sales and promotion skills!

STEP 3
Organise to sell your product or service -this is usually done on school marketing days and really inventive entrants organise to sell the product or service outside school also (broadening the market). Once again we offer an in class workshop on selling skills - just contact us and we will arrange for this to be delivered in your classroom.  We will talk about where your team or you are at in relation to  selling and offer some advice we have learnt along the way.

Have Fun and meet new people!

STEP 4
Having sold your product write up a summary of your business plan to be entered for the Dublin City Final in March 2010 where you will meet our judges and get to meet people from other Dublin schools who will be competing.

Schools can avail of our Report Writing Workshop where we go through what should be included in your business plan. This is an opportunity to put down everything you have done during the process.  Remember it is also important to tell what went badly and what you might do differently next time as this is a learning process that will stand to you in every walk of life.

Have Fun and get lots of experience of problem solving!

 Step 5
If you are selected as a winner in the Dublin City Final you can enter the National Finals in Tullamore in May - This is a fabulous day and involves hundreds of students from all over Ireland who have all been involved in the process throughout the year.  We have been lucky in the last 2 years for teams from the Dublin City Enterprise Board are taking home prizes.  Last year the girls from Loreto St. Stephens' Green won the Intermediate Award for their projec which involved them selling promotional items for their school at every event in the school.

Give it a try this year and maybe we will have you representiing Dublin in Tullamore in May
