Leaving Certificate Applied 

All schools in the Dublin City Enterprise Board area which stretches from Terenure to Finglas are supported in the delivery of the Leaving Certificate units. We work closely with teachers in the delivery of the Enterprise element of the LCA programme and ensure that we do our best to match our delivery to the individual needs of a particular LCA class. 

We are currently organising these Enterprise Encounter visits as the lead up to the presentation of portfolios and would be delighted to arrange one for your school.  Just give us a call and let us know what you would like to arrange.
 
LCA co-ordinators can request a visit by a representative of Dublin City Enterprise Board to talk about the work of our board and the other City and County Enterpise Boards throughout Ireland.  These have proven very successful and we assure all teachers that our staff are well used to all interests of students and the feedback from our services is very positive with students saying they found our talks and presentations very informative and entertaining. 
 
Dublin City Enterpise Board is engaged in many services to entrepreneurs such as mentoring and networking groups and can facilitate visits from such entrepreneurs who are willing to be interviewed by students as part of their assignments for the LCA programme.   We would caution that entrepreneurs usually are booked in advance and to facilitate this if you can give us advance notice we will ensure you have a suitable and relevant speaker for your students.
 

Additionally all students in an LCA class will receive a Certificate of Participation following such a visit and these Certificates have proven popular in portfolios for the LCA.  Currently we are sending out certificates for this years activities and if your class has not yet received one please let us know and we will send them by return.
